The Perfect Location for your Perfect Day
Coventry's medieval past survives in pockets around the city centre, close to the cathedral and the ruins of its bombed predecessor, and a handful of historic buildings are used for weddings. Most couples, though, look a little further out. The Warwickshire countryside between Coventry, Kenilworth, Warwick and Royal Leamington Spa is full of country houses, manor hotels, golf clubs and converted barns, many set in parkland.
Because the area draws couples from Birmingham and the wider Midlands, sought-after summer Saturdays can be booked a long time in advance. If your date is flexible, a Friday, Sunday or off-peak month gives more choice. Prices vary with the day of the week and season.
The city is very central. Coventry station is on the main line to London and Birmingham, Birmingham Airport is only a short drive away, and the M6, M40, M69 and A45 all serve the area. Many rural venues have on-site rooms; if yours does not, check nearby hotels in Kenilworth or Leamington and plan transport home for guests.
Civil ceremonies in England must take place at a register office or approved premises. Confirm the venue is licensed and give notice at your local register office.
