WeddingUK.co.uk (“Wedding UK”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is run by Senior Designs Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 12589327), registered office Holly House, 21d Chudleigh Road, Alphington, Exeter, EX2 8TS. These terms apply to everyone who uses the website: couples planning a wedding, wedding businesses that advertise with us (“suppliers”), and visitors. By using the website, creating an account or buying a listing, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

1. What Wedding UK is

1.1 Wedding UK is an online directory of wedding suppliers in the UK. We help couples find and contact suppliers, and we provide free planning tools.

1.2 Suppliers listed on Wedding UK are independent businesses. They are not our employees, agents or partners. Any booking or contract is made directly between the couple and the supplier, and we are not a party to it.

1.3 We do not routinely check, inspect or endorse suppliers or what they offer. Listings, prices, offers and availability are provided by the suppliers themselves. Always confirm details, terms, insurance and prices directly with a supplier before you book.

1.4 Our articles and guides are general information to help you plan. They are not legal, financial or professional advice. Where we quote prices, fees or survey figures, they are a guide and can change.

2. Using the website

2.1 You must be 18 or over to create an account, send an enquiry, leave a review or buy a listing.

2.2 You must not misuse the website, including by sending spam, trying to access accounts or areas you are not allowed to, interfering with how the website works, copying listings or content in bulk, or collecting other people's personal information.

2.3 Keep your login details safe. You are responsible for activity on your account. You can add two-step login for extra security from your account page.

2.4 We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the website. We do not guarantee that it will always be available or free from errors.

3. Couples

3.1 Using Wedding UK as a couple is free. You can browse without an account, save suppliers to a shortlist and use the wedding planner (checklist, budget planner and countdown).

3.2 When you send an enquiry, including one enquiry to several suppliers from your shortlist, we pass the details you enter to the supplier or suppliers you chose so they can reply to you directly. See our Privacy Policy for more about this.

3.3 Planner figures, tasks and dates are for your own use. You are responsible for checking your own budget and arrangements.

3.4 Availability shown on a listing is marked by the supplier and may not be up to date. Please confirm availability directly with the supplier.

4. Reviews

4.1 Reviews must describe your own genuine experience of the supplier. You must not review your own business, a business you work for or are connected to, or a competitor.

4.2 Reviews must not be offensive, defamatory, discriminatory or misleading, and must not include other people's personal information.

4.3 Suppliers must not offer payment, discounts or other incentives in return for reviews, or ask anyone to post a fake review.

4.4 We check every review before it is published and may decline or remove reviews that break these rules. We allow one review per email address per supplier. We publish your first name, your rating, your review and (if you give it) your wedding date; your email address is never shown.

4.5 Suppliers can post one public reply to a review on their listing.

4.6 By submitting a review you give us permission to publish it on Wedding UK. If you would like your review removed, contact us.

5. Suppliers: listings and content

5.1 You must provide accurate, lawful and up-to-date information, including your business details, prices, special offers and availability, and you must keep it up to date.

5.2 You must own, or have permission to use, everything you upload, including photos, logos and text. You remain the owner of your content.

5.3 You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to show and use your content on Wedding UK and to promote your listing and Wedding UK (for example on social media, in newsletters and in advertising) for as long as your listing is live and for a reasonable time afterwards to remove it from materials already produced.

5.4 Special offers must be genuine and you must honour them on the terms you state. Prices and offers must comply with consumer law.

5.5 You may only use personal information from enquiries to reply to that couple about their wedding. You must not add them to marketing lists without their consent, or pass their details to anyone else. When you receive an enquiry, you are responsible for that information under data protection law.

5.6 We may edit, suspend, reject or remove any listing or content that we reasonably believe breaks these terms, is misleading or unlawful, or could harm couples or our reputation.

6. Suppliers: plans, payment, renewal and cancellation

6.1 Listings are paid plans billed yearly. The plans, prices and what each includes (such as number of categories and photos, and featured or homepage placement) are shown on our Advertise page when you sign up. Prices are subject to VAT where applicable.

6.2 Payment is taken through PayPal as a yearly recurring subscription. Your listing goes live once your payment is confirmed and you have added the required listing details.

6.3 Your subscription renews automatically each year at the price agreed when you subscribed, unless you cancel it. If we change our prices, we will tell you before your next renewal.

6.4 You can cancel auto-renewal at any time from Plan & billing in your dashboard, or in your PayPal account. Your listing stays live until the end of the year you have paid for. If a plan ends without being renewed, your listing is hidden from couples after a short grace period and can be restored by renewing.

6.5 If you change plan, your new plan replaces the old one and we cancel the old subscription so you are not charged twice.

6.6 Payments are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise or where we end your listing without you being at fault (in which case we will refund the unused part of your current year).

6.7 If a payment fails or is reversed, we may suspend your listing until it is paid.

6.8 Where we agree to invoice you instead, invoices are payable within 30 days. We may charge interest and recovery costs on late payments under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

6.9 Suppliers buy listings for business purposes, so consumer cancellation rights for purchases by individuals do not apply to listing subscriptions.

7. Our liability

7.1 We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill.

7.2 We are not responsible for the services, products, conduct or any failure of suppliers, or for any dispute between a couple and a supplier.

7.3 We are not responsible for websites we link to.

7.4 For suppliers: our total liability to you in connection with these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss.

7.5 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your legal rights.

7.6 Suppliers agree to compensate us for claims, losses and costs arising from their listing, their content or their breach of these terms.

8. Suspension and closing accounts

8.1 We may suspend or close an account, or remove a listing or review, if these terms are broken, a payment is overdue, or we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect couples, suppliers or Wedding UK.

8.2 You can ask us to close your account at any time by emailing orders@weddinguk.co.uk.

9. General

9.1 We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change materially affects suppliers with an active subscription, we will tell them by email.

9.2 Neither of us is responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.

9.3 If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in force.

9.4 Nobody else has rights under these terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

9.5 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales, except that if you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
