Wedding Bands in Bristol

Bristol is known for its sound system culture and the trip hop that came out of the city in the nineties, and its musicians cover a broad spread: funk and soul bands, jazz trios, folk groups, brass ensembles and function bands playing pop and indie. If you want something a little different from the usual set list, this is a good city to look.

Know the venue's limits

Harbourside spaces, warehouses and city-centre venues may let music run later. Many couples marry outside the city, at barns and country houses in North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, where curfews around eleven or midnight and sound limiters are common because of nearby homes. Check with your venue first, then share the rules with bands so they can quote a suitable setup.

Sets and timing

A standard evening is two sets of around an hour, with a playlist between. Some bands also offer a ceremony or drinks reception set. Build in time for loading and soundcheck, and check whether the band needs a loading bay or parking arrangement in the centre.
