Wedding Venues in Harrogate

Harrogate grew up as a spa town, and its grand Victorian hotels, gardens and stone terraces still set the tone. The Stray, the wide green that wraps around the town, and Valley Gardens are lovely for photographs. A short drive in almost any direction brings you to countryside: Nidderdale to the west, the Yorkshire Dales beyond, and historic towns such as Knaresborough and Ripon with their own character. Country houses, estates, hotels and barns are common across the area.

Harrogate hosts conferences, exhibitions and major shows through the year, including the Great Yorkshire Show in July, so hotel rooms can be scarce on certain dates. Check the town's event calendar before you commit. Summer Saturdays at popular rural venues are booked well ahead. Prices vary with the day of the week and season.

Getting there

Harrogate has rail links to Leeds and York, Leeds Bradford Airport is a short drive away, and the A1(M) passes to the east. Rural Dales venues may be some distance from hotels, so arranging transport for guests makes the evening easier.
