Wedding Bands in Cardiff

Wales has a strong singing tradition, and in and around Cardiff that shows in the number of couples who add a choir or harpist to the ceremony before a band takes over in the evening. Bilingual and Welsh-language musicians are also available if you would like Welsh songs as part of the day.

Evening bands

Function bands covering pop, rock, soul and Motown are widely available, along with acoustic duos for drinks receptions. City and bay venues are often comfortable with a full band and later finishing times, while castles, historic houses and countryside venues in the Vale of Glamorgan may enforce sound limiters or earlier curfews. Ask your venue about restrictions before you book, and tell the band about any steps or narrow access in older buildings.

Timings

Most bands play two sets of about an hour, sometimes three shorter ones, with a playlist in between. Agree start times with the venue and caterer so the band is not starting late after speeches overrun.
